Sandra G. Nye, J.D., M.S.W. – Deceased
In memoriam: In 1962, Sandra graduated from DePaul University with her J.D. She received her B.A. from the University of Chicago and holds a master's degree in Social Work. Sandra began practicing law in 1963. She was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of Illinois, and the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois, where she was a member of the trial bar. While not a licensed social worker, Sandra devoted a significant part of her life to social work. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Illinois Society of Clinical Social Work. She was also a professor of jurisprudence in psychiatry at the University of Illinois, Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine.
