Mediation

Our trained mediators can assist couples, parents, spouses, or ex-spouses in working out (mediating) their differences in an effort to minimize the need for attorney and court intervention.

Interested In Mediation?

At Nye Law Group, Ltd.. we have attorneys trained as mediators who can be called upon to assist couples, parents, spouses, or ex-spouses in working out (mediating) their differences in an effort to minimize the need for attorney and court intervention. Mediation is a cost effective way to assist people in achieving resolution on their own terms. If two or more people have a disagreement with how to resolve a financial, parenting, or communications issue they can work with a mediator who is neutral and trained to assist each party to the mediation to understand the other party’s position, not necessarily agree with it, and to facilitate both parties cooperation and agreement.

Mediation for Joint Parents

In any joint parenting situation, where there is an order requiring joint parenting, mediation is a mandatory element of such an order in Illinois. In fact, many judges construe this requirement as jurisdictional and will not entertain any relief or order until the parties have attempted mediation.

If you are unsure if mediation is an option for you, please feel free to contact our office and request that an attorney from our office contact you in order to explain and discuss how we can be of assistance in mediating your issues.
